Harbour Tank Co exists for one reason: most people in St. John's don't think about their oil tank until the day the delivery driver won't fill it. Every registered tank carries a small metal HOST tag with an expiry date stamped on it, and once that month passes the fuel company can't legally deliver. That tends to happen in the coldest week of the year, with the house going cold and nobody sure who to call. We wanted to be the number you call, and to make the whole thing a lot less stressful than it usually is.
We handle oil tank replacement, oil tank removal and fibreglass and double-wall upgrades for houses across the Northeast Avalon, Conception Bay South and Conception Bay North. A 200-gallon steel tank is $3,200 installed and fibreglass is $3,850, both with the old tank hauled away, and an outdoor tank removal on its own is $500. The way we work is plain. Someone comes out, looks at the tank, the stand, the pad and the furnace line, and puts a price in writing for free. Once you approve it we book the swap, usually within the week, and the installer's licensed inspector tags and registers the new system so your fuel company can fill you again. You also get the confirmation of registration that insurers, lawyers and realtors ask for when a house changes hands.

We check the tank, stand, pad and lines, then put the number on paper. What you sign is what you pay unless you change the job partway through.
